Rachel Richman is a Research Assistant in MEF Associates’ Alexandria office. At MEF, Rachel is involved in a variety of projects related to WIC, SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, benefits coordination, employment supports, education, and fatherhood programs. She has supported work across a range of efforts to improve how public agencies and social services programs deliver their services, including surveys, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and technical assistance. Rachel is passionate about ensuring public benefits are accessible and recipient-oriented, particularly for individuals in marginalized communities.
Rachel graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University with a B.A. in Sociology and Political Science and a cluster in Social Inequalities and Social Change. Prior to joining MEF, Rachel worked as a Research Assistant in the Tufts University Department of Sociology and a Policy Fellow at Mass Alliance, where she conducted qualitative data analysis on policy at the federal, state, and local levels. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, baking, and exploring DC.
