Chrissy Steigelman is a Research Associate at MEF Associates’ Alexandria office. Her primary research focus is federal food assistance programs, including the supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP) and the supplemental nutrition program for woman, infants, and children (WIC). Chrissy provides project management and research support for several food assistance projects at MEF. In addition, she is working on projects that provide technical assistance to TANF and responsible fatherhood programs.

Prior to joining MEF, Chrissy worked at Insight Policy Research, where she conducted mixed-methods research and provided project management support for the food and nutrition team.

Chrissy holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University and a B.A. in Economics from Michigan State University.
