Kresge TANF Learning Community (2026-Current)

With funding from the Kresge Foundation, MEF will select up to 10 TANF agencies to participate in a learning community that will enable state TANF agency administrators to learn from one another and collaborate on strategies to increase economic mobility.

MEF staff will convene five meetings over a one-year period with the following goals:

  1. State TANF directors will strengthen their connections with one another and build knowledge of other states’ innovations.
  2. State TANF agencies will learn about evidence-informed practices that can be adapted to improve employment and earnings outcomes for families.
  3. States will gain a better understanding of the flexibility they have to adopt innovative practices aimed at increasing economic mobility and improving family well-being.
