Mission

MEF Associates was founded in 2009 by Mike E. Fishman and Mary E. Farrell—two experienced leaders united by three shared initials and a common vision. Today, we are a small business offering a full range of evaluation, policy research, and technical assistance services.   

Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals, children, and families by building knowledge and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of public policy and programs.    

Since our founding, this mission has guided our work across a wide range of policy areas—including child and family policy, workforce development, income security, early childhood education, and more.  

A core part of our approach is developing strong, collaborative relationships with the organizations we work with. We focus on building trust and strengthening their capacity, so the work we do supports meaningful improvements in the programs they operate and in the lives of the people they serve.
