Laura Meyer is a Research Associate at MEF Associates. She is knowledgeable on TANF, workforce development policies, and a range of social service programs. She has experience with qualitative data collection and analysis, quantitative data analysis, and project management. At MEF, Laura works on projects related to TANF and labor force research evidence reviews.
Prior to working at MEF, Laura worked at nonprofits in Washington, DC. She researched TANF and subsidized employment at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, where she focused on TANF’s reach to families in poverty and the racist history of cash assistance programs. Prior to the Center, she advocated for paid leave, paid sick leave, and other policies for the National Partnership for Women & Families.
Laura earned a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History of Art from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.
