The Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five (PDG B-5) provides funding to states and territories to support infrastructure building for early childhood programs and services. With this funding, states and territories conduct needs assessments and strategic planning, engage families in policy decisions, and build systems to elevate the workforce and services that serve young children. In 2023, New Hampshire was awarded a new year of funding for the PDG B-5 grant, and in 2024 New Hampshire received an extension to continue work through 2024. MEF will support the state in tracking progress towards its goals, which include developing work plans to advance strategic planning, making investments in a Family Child Care Network, coaching supports, governance improvements, and more.
