Breaking Barriers in San Diego

The San Diego Workforce Partnership (SDWP) was awarded a Workforce Innovation Fund grant to implement an Individual Placement and Support model of supported employment services for TANF participants and other individuals impacted by disabilities. It replicated and extended the model of the Families Achieving Success Today pilot in Ramsey County, Minnesota. SDWP funded MDRC, with MEF Associates as a subcontractor, to conduct a random assignment study to evaluate this program. The evaluation included an impact study, an implementation study, and a cost effectiveness analysis. MEF Associates led the implementation and cost effectiveness studies.
