Olivia Mirek is a Research Analyst in MEF Associates’ Alexandria office. Her research interests include programs and policies that address inequalities in early childhood education and that aim to improve the lives of marginalized populations, such as children and families
At MEF, Olivia is involved in projects related to early childhood education and care, family and child wellbeing, postsecondary education, TANF, and workforce development and support.
Prior to MEF, Olivia worked as a Research Assistant at the Georgetown Early Learning Project, where she evaluated parenting programs, studied cognitive flexibility in bilingual children, and examined the effects of technology and media on children. In her senior year, she joined the Georgetown Child Development & Social Policy Lab, where she researched the effects of parental COVID-19 induced stressors on self-regulation and social-emotional outcomes in low-income children.
Olivia graduated from Georgetown University in 2021 with a B.A. in Psychology and Government. In her free time, she enjoys running, spending time with friends outdoors, traveling, and painting.
