Michele Abbott is a Senior Research Associate based in Denver, CO. She is a mixed methods researcher and policy analyst with over a decade of experience conducting complex program evaluations. She has worked across a spectrum of policy areas, including community and behavioral health, poverty alleviation, economic mobility, and other integrated service programs. She is particularly interested in direct cash assistance, wraparound services, and their interaction with the household environment.
Prior to joining MEF, Michele was an Assistant Policy Researcher at the RAND Corporation, where she conducted mixed-methods research on cross-sector interventions in health and well-being. She also spent a year developing a guaranteed income pilot program for the City of Pittsburgh and building a diverse coalition of government, philanthropic, and non-profit partners across the region around unconditional cash transfers.
Michele holds a PhD in Policy Analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School and a BS in International Business from the University of Maryland-College Park. Outside of work, she can be found adventuring in the mountains or curled up with a book.
