Megan Stanley is a Senior Research Associate. Her background is in social work and public policy with a focus on programs that address basic needs, human rights, and income assistance. At MEF, Megan focuses on technical assistance for a range of programs and projects, including TANF sites.  

Prior to joining MEF, Megan worked for several local governments, including King County, WA, and the City of Pittsburgh. In these roles she worked to create policies that improved access to programs and benefits, increased housing stability, and expanded services for vulnerable communities. While at King County, Megan led implementation of a first-in-the-nation pilot to increase housing voucher utilization for veterans, contributing to the area’s reduction in veteran homelessness.  

Megan holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Virginia.
