Mariama Badjie is a Research Analyst at MEF Associates. She is passionate about basic needs security, poverty eradication, racial equity, and using social policy to advance those ideals. She brings experience in food security policy, entitlement programs, community health promotion, social determinants of health, urban policy, and social movements for racial and economic justice.
Prior to joining MEF, Mariama worked at the Congressional Research Service within the Library of Congress, where she tracked legislation in the Social Welfare, Labor and Employment, Education, Health, and Immigration domains for Congress.gov.
Mariama earned a Master of Public Policy and Management degree from the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S. In Public Health from Hunter College. She is a proud graduate of the New York City Public Schools system and a strong supporter of quality public education for all.
