Justin Germain joined MEF Associates as a Research Assistant in 2017. He has a strong interest in advancing economic opportunities for underserved populations. With a background in human rights and public policy, Justin’s work primarily focuses on workforce development and economic self-sufficiency.
At MEF, Justin is involved with large-scale random assignment evaluations of healthcare career training for low-income individuals and cognitive behavioral interventions for justice-involved fathers. He is also currently working on a project researching the marketing of apprenticeships to employers.
Prior to joining MEF, Justin was a Research Assistant in the U.C. Berkeley Sociology and Near Eastern Studies Departments.
Justin graduated with Highest Distinction from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Minor in Interdisciplinary Human Rights. In his free time, Justin enjoys writing, board games, and 5-pin bowling.
