Helena Wippick is a Research Associate working remotely from the Hudson Valley in MEF’s Child and Family Policy domain. With her work, she aims to identify and strengthen evidence-based interventions and policies with an emphasis on ameliorating systemic inequities and supporting low income and minoritized families. At MEF, she works on projects related to child welfare, early childhood education, and employment and training.
Prior to joining MEF Associates, she worked at NYU Steinhardt in the Institute of Human Development and Social Change. There she managed two large-scale, randomized control trials: a positive parenting intervention delivered via pediatric primary care, and an evaluation of staff professional learning in New York City’s universal pre-K system. Prior to NYU, she worked as a Research Associate for a prison monitoring nonprofit, the Correctional Association of New York, and as a Research Analyst at the Yale University Social Cognitive Development Lab.
She holds an MPA in Policy Analysis from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University and a BA in Psychology from Bard College. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring nature, making pottery, and taking pictures of her cats.
