Study on Technology-Based Learning in the Workforce System

This project, funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, examined the use of technology based learning (TBL) in the public workforce system. MEF participated on three sub-studies that examined the use of TBL in American Job Centers, the use of TBL in Job Corps Centers, and recently developed state policy on the use of TBL. The sub-studies included survey of program operators, review of state policy documents, and site visits to centers and states using TBL in promising and innovative ways. An earlier phase of the project involved literature reviews on the use of TBL in the workforce system and another focused on workforce system services for veterans with disabilities. MEF was a subcontractor to Abt Associates on this project.
